Regulations and maintenance of air handling units
AHU systems are subject to the Technical Rules for Workplaces ASR A 3.6 »Ventilation« and must comply with the state of the art and be operated as intended. Maintenance and servicing must also be carried out in accordance with § 4 of the Workplace Ordinance (ArbStättV) must be carried out at regular intervals.
The employer is responsible for ensuring that the maintenance intervals are set in such a way that the technical, hygienic and ventilation properties and safe operation of the system are guaranteed throughout the entire period of operation.
