  • Clean deburring of aluminum ⚙️

When grinding, cutting or deburring metal parts, dust is generated that must be safely extracted and filtered to protect employees and the environment. Since aluminum dust is also combustible, special protective measures must be implemented in accordance with the so-called ATEX guidelines.

Last week we put a 3000 series deduster into operation at our customer in the Netherlands in order to effectively extract the aluminum dust produced during deburring. The extraction system filters the emissions using four filter cartridges with an output of 11 kW. The remaining fine dust is separated by an additional HEPA H14 filter stage and the clean air is fed back into the hall.

  • Mixing impossible? 🥷

The processing of steel, stainless steel and aluminum in one machine can pose a risk to employees and the entire production.

When grinding, turning or deburring these metals, combustible dust and very fine particles are produced. If these media meet, e.g. in a deburring machine, a self-igniting dust mixture is created by thermal reaction, which can set the processing center and other machines on fire.

In order to still be able to process these materials in just one machine, we have developed a special dry deduster in ATEX design, which still safely extracts and filters the dust.

  • real. idea. of tooting 🎷

Christian has been on the road for us as a service electrician since November.

"I spent two days on trial work with Michael Fischer and got to know a completely new area of responsibility there. This includes maintenance and conversions at the customer's site as well as the creation of circuit diagrams, the elaboration of the control cabinet requirements and the programming of our system controls. So I can work alternately outside with the customer and in the office or home office.”

In his free time, Christian plays trombone in several bands and a "Guggenmusik". When he's not on tour musically, he likes to go hiking in the mountains or for walks with his girlfriend Nadine. Even at work, our colleague has a real. idea. of tooting. He now programs controls independently and carries out the first service calls himself.

The fact that he is trained as a brewer and maltster was of course the additional icing on the cake for us. 🍒

Christian was convinced by the 4-day week, our cohesion and team spirit, the pleasant job interview and the modern equipment at WERK.

  • A spark of madness… 💥

The year 2022 had several of these. It inspired us, challenged us, motivated us, caught us off guard, fueled us and, above all, really pushed us forward.

We wish you happy holidays and a really great year 2023! 🎄

And if the sparks don't just fly on New Year's Eve, our ATEX extraction systems will remedy the situation.

  • real. cool. Christmas party 🐮🎉

Last Friday we popped the corks at the WERK! After our traditional trash version of Secret Santa and a great dinner together, the Buron Band from Kempten got us fired up. As a small highlight, we were able to let off steam this year with a photo wall and let it all out on the dance floor.
