Mountaineer WERKER in the Allgäu – or survival of the fittest ⛰😅
Together with our mountaineering guru Marc Grün , we setoff on foot uphill from Nesselwängle towards the Gimpelhausat 8am on Saturday.
After a short break for breakfast we were so motivated that we quickly reached the summit cross on the way to the Nesselwängler Scharte on the Rote Flüh (2,108 m). Not only were genuine “climbing skills” in demand here, one or the other of the WERKER mit Höhenangst musste hier echt die Zähne zusammenbeißen.😬
We continued with “Lord of the Rings Feeling” through barren scree landscapes to the Nesselwängler Scharte, the ridge occupied by devoted Valais black-nosed sheep, which we had to overcome down the valley to the Füssener Hütte.
Find out what else awaited us here and whether all our “companions” made it to the hut in the next post…
