Filter tower for welding fumes instead of central hall extraction?
Filter towers are central extraction units for welding fume extraction that can be placed freely within the shop floor without a pipe system. They can be used as an alternative to hall extraction and are characterized by their high extraction capacity and quick setup thanks to their plug-and-play design. Due to its thermal properties, the warm welding fume rises to the workshop ceiling and is captured at the top of the filter tower through an intake grille. The air containing fume passes through several filter stages and is returned to the hall at floor level, cleaned and free of drafts.

Proven layered ventilation principle
This principle is a proven technology for production halls and is recommended by the IFA. The contaminated air is extracted near the hall ceiling, cleaned in a filter tower and fed back into the hall near the floor without draughts. The clean air layer on the floor and the warm air containing welding fumes on the hall ceiling mix automatically due to air currents as well as the thermals of the rising welding fumes. The unit should be positioned in the center of the room or close to the sources of dust. This ensures optimal compliance with dust limits and constant improvement of the indoor air quality.
