Better safe than sorry 💪

We installed a custom dual-system solution for a customer, consisting of two R 4000 Series fume filters, on the exterior of the building.
One of the fume filters (capacity: 22 kW | 23,000 m³/h) is used for welding (MAG) and grinding carbon steel. Fumes are captured via six extraction arms and an additional push-pull room extraction system at the welding robot.
Workstations are activated via a slide valve control system, and a variable-frequency drive automatically adjusts the system’s output to match actual demand.
In the push-pull local exhaust ventilation system, a duct equipped with a duct fan and supply air grilles generates a targeted airflow toward the exhaust duct with exhaust nozzles. This ensures that welding fumes are captured and subjected to controlled extraction. At the same time, the crane can continue to load the robot. 👨🏭
The second fume filter (capacity: 18.5 kW | 23,000 m³/h) is used for welding (TIG) and grinding stainless steel and aluminum. The resulting dust is captured via five extraction arms. In addition, the system is equipped as an ATEX-compliant model with spark detection, a fire suppression system, and a premium pre-coating unit.
Both systems are installed outside the hall and each features a summer/winter switch. This allows for heating energy savings in the winter and enables the warm air to be effectively vented from the hall in the summer. ⚡️
