🎺 Noise: the invisible danger to our health
Did you know that constant noise is not only annoying, but also harmful to our health? 😟 Studies show that noise releases stress hormones that put a strain on our cardiovascular system and can lead to sleep disorders. In the long term, this can even increase the risk of heart disease, depression and anxiety. We can usually avoid this in our private lives, but the situation is different for employees in industrial companies.
In production facilities, especially those with large machine parks, employees are often exposed to high noise levels. According to the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA), noise-induced hearing loss is the most common recognized occupational disease with over 600 new cases per year, making noise protection a fundamental occupational safety issue.
