Grinding, cutting or deburring metal parts generates dusts that must be safely extracted and filtered to protect employees and the environment. Since aluminum dust is also combustible, special protective measures must be implemented according to so-called ATEX directives.

Last week, we put a 3000 series dust extra ctor into operation at our customer in the Netherlands to effectively extract the aluminum dust produced during deburring. The extraction system filters the emissions through four filter cartridges with a power of 11 kW. The remaining fine dust is separated by an additional HEPA H14 filter stage and the clean air is fed back into the hall.
