Combined Welding Fume and Hall Extraction System ⚡️

“The solution was so practical and technically simple that it actually sounded too good to be true. But it works flawlessly!” 🙌🏻
That’s how Gerhard Braun, Operations Manager at WITRON Stahlfertiger GmbH & Co. KG, describes our extraction solution for steel production.
We implemented a combined welding fume extraction system for three production halls at WITRON. The challenge: to capture welding fumes directly at the manual MAG welding workstations while simultaneously and reliably filtering remaining fume particles from the air in the halls.
Our solution therefore combines two systems: direct extraction via extraction arms and a central hall extraction system. Using a toggle switch, employees at each workstation can decide for themselves which extraction system to use for the current work process.
In addition, we have technically optimized two mobile extraction hoods on a welding robot and adjusted the airflow within the production halls.
✔️ Combination of direct extraction and hall extraction
✔️ Automatic fresh air supply and recirculation mode
✔️ Heat recovery for energy-efficient operation
✔️ Sound level below 65 dB(A)
✔️ Certified by TÜV Süd
The result: A technically simple and flexible extraction solution that adapts to the various work processes in steel manufacturing! 💪
