As part of our health weeks, we went on a herb hike last Friday at <\/span>Iller<\/span> <\/span> . Graduate biologist Sybille R. Braun imparted tried and tested knowledge about the use and effects of our local wild herbs and medicinal plants. \ud83c\udf3f

<\/span>From natural remedies for colds such as meadowsweet, goutweed or lungwort to the power plant nettle, which contains pretty much all the essential amino acids, we strolled through the woods and meadows with open eyes and ears and picked up numerous tips for our own medicine cabinet.

<\/span>As a tea, it has an anti-inflammatory, expectorant and wound-healing effect. An insider tip for colds or chronic bronchitis, and not just in the cold season.

<\/span>Its leaves as a tea strengthen the cells and help with flu or other viral infections.

<\/span>As a tea, it can be used to cleanse the lymph, kidneys or urinary tract and helps to detoxify the body.

<\/span>We are not yet <\/span>Botany<\/span> <\/span>Professionals, but we can now confirm Paracelsus’ and Kneipp’s statement that “there is a herb for every disease”.
